BAT WING FLY
Removing traditional fly-pieces and incorporating the fly construction into the body of the garment reduces unnecessary bulk in the most sensitive area of the boardshort.
LOCK CORD
The silicone-printed drawcord grips on itself and prevents slipping, securing your shorts in even the heaviest of wipeouts.
GHOST WAISTBAND
Laser cut laminated waistband panels on the outside of the garment provide a single layer of flush-fabric from the hem to the wiastband, removing potential abrasion areas. The panels utilize a stretch fabric that form a "dual density" area through the waist of the garment for premium fit and comfort.
ERGO FIT
Body-mapped panelling and shaping reduces seams in critical areas - meaning less chafing and more flexibility for the surfer.
ELASTO-STRETCH 5 MARLED FABRIC
Rip Curl's high performance ES5 fabric now comes in a marled texture for a great new look that combines the highest quality yarn fiber with a high thread-count weave to produce the world's most comfortable and high-performance boardshort fabric.
WELDED POCKET
The ergonomically placed hip-pocket features a zipper and pocket bag welded to the body, reducing weight and bulk. Laser-cut drain holes let water drain out of the pocket.
ILLUSION STL TAPE
The MF1 boardshorts are fused with incredibly flexible ultrasonic stretch tape. By taping all the seams on the MF1, the ultra-smooth illusion tape brings you closer than ever to wearing nothing.
WELDED INSEAM
The MF Driven Boardshorts are made with a welded inseam construction, which smooths out the rash-prone area of the inner leg.
